Travelling in cars with pets require proper handling from the owner. Prior to your road trip, it is best to take your pet to a veterinarian. This is to ensure your pet’s health and to get a certification, should your pet be required to have one. You should also have your pet wear a sturdy collar with a tag bearing your home address and contact number.

Pets also need the usual comforts of the home like his bedding, toys, brush, and the like. Take them with you in a small pack along with his water bottle, treats, medications (if any), and a copy of his medical records.
